Sense of Place in Resort Design at Phi Phi Island: An Architectural Perspective ในแต่ละสถานที่บนโลก มักมีองค์ประกอบที่สร้างเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะตัวและทำให้ผู้คนจดจำสถานที่นั้นได้ หนึ่งในนั้นคือ บรรยากาศ ที่ประกอบด้วยเสียง กลิ่น รสชาติ และสัมผัสต่างๆ ตัวอย่างเช่น การเดินทางไปเยาวราช เพียงแค่ได้ยินเสียงรถหรือกลิ่นอาหารก็สามารถกระตุ้นความทรงจำและความรู้สึกของพื้นที่ได้ทันที จากแนวคิดนี้ เราได้พัฒนารีสอร์ตบน เกาะพีพี ภายใต้แนวคิด Sense of Place โดยออกแบบให้ถ่ายทอดอัตลักษณ์ของเกาะผ่านประสาทสัมผัสทั้งห้า รวมถึงกิจกรรมและบรรยากาศ โดยสถานที่มีความพิเศษเฉพาะตัวคือ การเข้าถึงรีสอร์ตทำได้เพียงโดย เรือหางยาวแบบท้องถิ่น การเดินทางนี้เองสร้างประสบการณ์แรกแก่ผู้เข้าพัก ทั้งความร้อนจากผ้าใบหลังคา ความเปียกจากน้ำทะเล และความเหนอะหนะจากทรายที่ติดเท้า ซึ่งเป็น ประสบการณ์ทางกายภาพ (physical experience) ที่ทำให้ผู้เข้าพักรับรู้ถึงความเป็นสถานที่จริง

The design of the facade looks as if it was created from a large stone that has been sculpted into smooth, curving forms, which integrate seamlessly with the arrangement of large glass windows embedded within the stone's curves. This gives the appearance of a harmonious blend between nature and modern architecture. The building's surface has a rough texture, similar to natural stone, enhancing its natural and artistic appearance. The use of large glass windows makes the building feel open and filled with natural light. Overall, this facade conveys a sense of modernity while maintaining a natural aesthetic.
