The project is determined to reclaim the magnificence of nature by creating an awareness on the biological system, namely the wetland, which has many species in Lagoon of Orbetello. The project aims to provide a unique user experience as a starting point for every visitor to understand the importance of preserving and protecting the ecosystem while providing a habitat for the animals. We imagination that the project is the place that biological and animal can live together in peace and harmony. Rather than proposing a general building, the design provides enclosed spaces that connect to the context as much as possible.
The project proposes architecture spaces that is close to nature, slightly occupying the wetland, with the building facing the lake, providing the best view. Moreover, the visitors’ experience is enhanced in the visitors center through the observation points.
At the observation points, visitors are able to engage in the bird viewing activity, which is the major fauna in the area by imitating 3 types of bird nesting (tree-birdnesting, mud-nesting and on water surface-nesting). This space enables the visitor to understand the bird's habit while observing the animals
