“ Stand out amidst the chaos with the simplicity of the material” The concept of ensuring privacy through a brick wall is implemented using clay bricks as the primary material in the design. These bricks are chosen for their easy availability and are produced in large quantities in Thailand. They possess a distinct color, durability, and affordability and effectively convey the essence of Thai materials, which is crucial for the design of a spa in the Sukhumvit zone. This area is a business center at the heart of the city and is frequented by foreign tourists. DreamHouse Thai Massage transforms the minimart into a foot, Thai, and Aromatherapy massage spa. The building is divided into two main zones: the bright area (lobby), allowing natural light to filter through various brick patterns, and the dark zone (massage room) for calmness and relaxation.

Sense of Place in Resort Design at Phi Phi Island: An Architectural Perspective ในแต่ละสถานที่บนโลก มักมีองค์ประกอบที่สร้างเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะตัวและทำให้ผู้คนจดจำสถานที่นั้นได้ หนึ่งในนั้นคือ บรรยากาศ ที่ประกอบด้วยเสียง กลิ่น รสชาติ และสัมผัสต่างๆ ตัวอย่างเช่น การเดินทางไปเยาวราช เพียงแค่ได้ยินเสียงรถหรือกลิ่นอาหารก็สามารถกระตุ้นความทรงจำและความรู้สึกของพื้นที่ได้ทันที จากแนวคิดนี้ เราได้พัฒนารีสอร์ตบน เกาะพีพี ภายใต้แนวคิด Sense of Place โดยออกแบบให้ถ่ายทอดอัตลักษณ์ของเกาะผ่านประสาทสัมผัสทั้งห้า รวมถึงกิจกรรมและบรรยากาศ โดยสถานที่มีความพิเศษเฉพาะตัวคือ การเข้าถึงรีสอร์ตทำได้เพียงโดย เรือหางยาวแบบท้องถิ่น การเดินทางนี้เองสร้างประสบการณ์แรกแก่ผู้เข้าพัก ทั้งความร้อนจากผ้าใบหลังคา ความเปียกจากน้ำทะเล และความเหนอะหนะจากทรายที่ติดเท้า ซึ่งเป็น ประสบการณ์ทางกายภาพ (physical experience) ที่ทำให้ผู้เข้าพักรับรู้ถึงความเป็นสถานที่จริง
